Bevin Dooley is a playwright, dramaturg, and poet, based out of Edmonton, Alberta/Treaty Six Territory. Readings and stagings of her plays have been presented at the Tiger Dublin Fringe Festival, the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, the SkirtsAfire Festival, and Common Ground Arts Society’s Found Festival. Bevin is also handy with prose; her short story, “Madonna With Teeth” was shortlisted for Geist Magazine’s 2016 Can’t Lit Without It CanLit Short Story contest. By day, Bevin works for Alberta Playwrights’ Network. She spends her summers with the Writers’ Guild of Alberta’s WordsWorth Camp, encouraging an adoration of both written and spoken word in youth.
